MCOBA joins the excitement and jubilation of fellow Malaysians with their votes yesterday. We note the maturity with which the Chief Secretary of the Government extended courtesy to the government in waiting, and the security details implemented forthwith by Royal Malaysian Police for the incoming Prime Minister.
We congratulate the MCOB candidates winners as well as non-winners, and party workers of all sides who put in the effort to offer their candidates to the voters. Let wisdom reign.
We congratulate Pakatan Harapan (PH), Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, MCOB Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail on the majority and look forward to implementation of the PH agenda at the national level.
We also congratulate Barisan Nasional (BN) and Dato’ Sri Mohammad Najib Tun Abdul Razak, and Parti Islam Semalaysia (PAS), for the seats won and look forward to BN, and PAS, providing check and balance for Malaysia.
We look forward to a more frank Malaysia robust enough to engage in discussions, maturely and positively, targeted to enable all Malaysians to have their place under the Malaysian sun.
We look forward, too, to MCOBs stepping up to serve the nation in what we hope, will be a mature, two-party system.
All in all, WE LOOK FORWARD.
