The Management Committee conveys our best wishes for the swift recovery of our brother MCOBs, and their family members, who had been tested positive for Covid-19. We are sure, and continue to request our brother MCOBs to join us in making dua for the wellbeing of our members and fellow Malaysians.
The Management Committee also urge MCOBs to be exemplary in complying with the MCO, in word, in thought and in conduct. We are confident that the COVID-19 scourge will pass and hope that all of us will come out of this more enlightened.
We are also aware that many MCOBs are volunteering*, and some are leading the effort to contain this pandemic, at home and abroad, and we tell you this, you have our admiration and our continued prayers that this effort will be gainly rewarded. Bungwak!
Our Annual General Meeting will have to be postponed, as a directive had been issued on 16th March 2020 by the Registrar of Societies (ROS), decreeing that no society shall hold any programme until 30th June 2020. We will abide by this directive, yet endeavour to make available online, the Annual Report by the stipulated date in our Constitution (30th June).
The MCO also throws a spanner in the works, causing uncertainty to the planned Old Boys Weekend and the MC-VC annual rugby match (both July events). We will take this in our stride, flattening the Covid-19 scourge is most important for everybody #kitajagakita. We hope everyone will take care.
We pray for Allah’s protection and that we emerge from this better, and stronger.
Wassalam
